Reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy and Product Development, I led transformative initiatives that enhanced the Global Sources Online marketplace and bridge the gap with its key competitors. My responsibilities included crafting detailed project briefs, selecting external developers to augment in-house capabilities, and validating proof of concept for market rollout.
Leading a dedicated four-person team across Hong Kong and Shenzhen, I successfully set up, tested, and evaluated innovative product concepts. Together, we successfully delivered numerous website enhancements on time and within budget, including a sample order capability, small- and large-volume transactions, supplier data analytics, a third-party audit program, mobile app improvements, trade show livestreams, and chatbot functionality.

In collaboration with the Executive Vice-President, I orchestrated the successful launch of new sourcing platforms for mobile electronics, consumer electronics, and fashion accessories. I also spearheaded UI enhancements on the Global Sources Online marketplace, resulting in a substantial increase in user traffic and engagement. Additionally, I directed global promotion strategies to attract attendees to the company’s joint-venture industry shows, including China International Optoelectronics Expo and Shenzhen International Machinery Manufacturing Industry Exhibition.

I led an 8-person team across Hong Kong, Manila and Shenzhen, overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of sales marketing programs for the Electronics Business Unit. I played a pivotal role in marketing the annual Distributor Survey Awards, which attracted over 200 industry leaders to honor China’s top electronic components distributors. My team was instrumental in helping launching several digital information platforms, including DatasheetsChina.com and eeWeibo, a social networking app for China’s engineers. I also ensured the sales teams had access to the latest marketing collaterals by effectively managing the maintenance of our Business Unit’s intranet platform.

I also played a crucial role in planning and executing the Global Sources Electronics Design Awards, attracting over 350 nominees from electronics suppliers across Asia.
